Ben is a PhD candidate originally from Denver, Colorado. He got his BA from Lehigh University in Biology. He’s interested in all things at the interface of Evolutionary Biology, Computer Science and Data Management and Visualization. His thesis work in Aedes aegypti involves using a custom single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) genotyping chip to investigate 1) Multiple possible origins of domestication in Western Africa and 2) The population structure resulting from the release of genetically modified Aedes aegypti in Brazil.
